I want to take sound off on a Noris 342 stereo sound projector & record it on my recorder that has 3.5 stereo jack socket (much the same as most computers etc).

Would a 7 pin din to 3.5 stereo like this one do the trick, or is the Noris 342 wired differently?

Not sure about the Noris, but not many DIM sockets for audio had 7 pins, most were 5 pin. Left and right for both in and out can't remember what the middle pin was for. The ad says for a specific B&O system with 7 pins so it might not fit without removing a couple of them.

If there was only one unexplained pin it was probably chassis: return for all of them.

Al
The Super 8 database says the output jack is a 5-pin DIN.

This is the lead you need.

It's probable that a screened cable is used, if so, the screen is connected to the centre pin (no.2).
