Apart from wrecking my films it has now apparently not been received back by B&H in the States! Despite the DHL tracking saying it has! And so far a rather half hearted response from B&H saying they can't do anything as it's not on their system! But will see if it appears in the next day or so... The DHL tracking shows it delivered on the 4th February.. I know it's a big company but expected better of them...

Sorry Bill.
Hope it sorts.
Is there an online selling decency regulator sort of thing you can approach over this.
If DHL say it has been delivered etc.
Was it by card or paypal ? you may have some redress, I hope so.
Best Mark.

Keep getting fobbed off from B&H Mark! Will have to see if I can get my money refunded via my credit card company. Its now been 11 days since the parcel was delivered and signed for. But as it had got lost in their system they can't issue a refund till they find it. And after 11 days can't see that happening. Probably ended up back in their warehouse and sold to somebody else! And they never reply to any emails unless you keep chasing them up or posting on Facebook!

Its likely that B&H are being 'snowed' with returned and defective Wolverine's, given some of the user experiences on this forum.

Hi Bill, by the sound of things you have paid by credit card. If the cost was over £100 then you automatically have protection under Section 75 law so it may be worth reporting it to your card issuer

Once B+H signed for the package, it becomes their responsibility. B+H "losing" your returned item does not make it your loss. You don't care what B+H in-company procedures are, you returned the item and are owed a refund unless B+H can prove otherwise. Sadly the world is full of liars and thieves. Good chance your returned Wolverine walked out the back door... B+H can not put their management/employee problems on you. I would not wait any longer to get remedy on this. Good luck.

Surely if they have lost it in house Bill, you should get a full refund, and also a consideration towards the return all being fair.
Hope so.
Best Mark.

This is the type of reply I have been getting.
"I'm very sorry, however your return has not been received by the Return's Department. This item hasn't been scanned in our system. We would not be able to refund you yet for this. I will request once again for my support team to look into this.
Please let us know if you require any further assistance.
Thank you, we appreciate your business."
The last two lines are added to all emails and seem rather ironic given their lack of actual help!
The first time I got this reply I was confident that a refund would folllow shortly. But now its getting annoying and its two weeks on Monday they received it back!
I will contact them again on Monday and them follow up with a letter to the credit card company!

Well thankfully finally got some of my money refunded! Still lost £109 on the outward shipping and customs/tax. So an expensive mistake in buying in the first place. Lesson learnt!

Hi Bill. Those things are plastic non wonders and not really worth the effort. We've been transferring film for oh 40 years now and I wouldn't give that floor space. Instead of throwing money away use a professional with a proper scanner around 2k quality. Most of my customers come with 400 to 5000ft of film mark and leave with a good result way beyond what the plastic box can do.
And I'm not touting for business either just offering a little guidance.
Anyone looking for the highest quality in the UK needs to use Images 4 Life. They can even do stereo sound and widescreen.
Hope you don't mind me chipping in. Very best.

There is a customs refund form BOR286 form you can submit and return to claim a refund (provided the item was delivered/handled by Royal Mail/Parcelforce). They'll ask you to send a bunch of supporting documents and proof of return/refund. You can claim back the duty/VAT but you won't get the handling fee back.
Posted by Bill Sherren (Member # 6743) on February 19, 2019, 12:37 PM:
The delivery was done in both ways by DHL. The duty/VAT was paid to B&H at the time of the order and the item arrived within a few days. The form I need is C285 for other courier companies. Though it needs a range of information I do not currently have like VAT registration number of DHL and EPU and Import entry number. And thats just on the second page of the online form! But I have no import documents as it was handled directly. B&H say contact my Goverment and I have yet to hear from DHL. Will persist but its nots straightforward!

Surely if you paid B+H the customs Bill they7 should of refunded the customs charges at the refund time too.
Have they offered any extra carriage money back etc.
Sound a bit naff to be honest.
I would insist they sort that for you Bill, or refund it themselves and some carriage costs as well.
Best Mark.

Its like getting blood out of a stone Mark. Last reply from B&H on those points-
I apologize for this issue, to get this information you need to reach out to your shipping broker. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
I reckon I am lucky to get any money back at all! Won't use B&H ever again and will think very carefully over ordering anything abroad in the future. But thats the problem with equipment that does not have a UK supplier alas. If the Wolverine had not also damaged my films I would most likely have kept it and tried to get it working as best as possible.

B&H is known to be a very reputable dealer. Sorry you have had that bad experience. I am continually amazed that people on this forum continue to buy the Wolverine. The threads here should send everybody running from those things.
