Just a reminder that this superb event is taking place on Sunday - full details can be seen in 'Upcoming Film Conventions & Events' in the 8mm Forum section.

The first two BSTRs were a great credit to David Tatham, his family and the various presenters, so I hope UK collectors will support this event and help make sure its survival is guaranteed. It's worth keeping in mind that although there are a very good selection of dealers selling films, the emphasis is on entertaining and unusual shows, so it's the perfect event to bring film enthusiasts who are not film collectors to - in fact three or four non-collectors I know will be attending.

Friendly atmosphere; great shows; plenty of bargains; excellent, reasonably priced catering; free parking at the venue - what more can you ask?

Good event today, Good film shows, good bargains from the dealers and Bring and Buy - but, unfortunately a lower attendance this year.

It is on again next year on Sunday May 24th, so please come along then to support it as if the numbers are low (or lower) then it could be the last one.

Well what a fantastic event and very professionally organised along with excellent made to order refreshments. I take my hat off to you all!

One of the things you realise attending events across the country is the variety of items you get and for me I'm very grateful to the sellers I purchased from obtaining film and equipment I had been looking for many a year.
I have never ever seen a Sankyo anamorphic lens in the UK and it now sits with projector it was made for. Film wise prices were very reasonable indeed with Derann LPP features offered around £125, shorts from £4 and decent sound projectors around £70. I have to say it, if you didn't attend you did miss a REEL treat along with 2 cinemas up and running.

Pleased to report I did capture the event for the forthcoming Cinema in Miniature II and it was well worth the 600 mile round trip.
Heart felt thanks to all involved for a wonderful day with like minded film folk and also for the camaraderie.

Nice to see you there Lee and everyone else. Had a great time there. Picked up a few items and enjoyed the film shows. Sad to hear the lower attendance, lets hope the event continues beyond next year.

Such an enjoyable day and really well organised.

I think the sudden sunshine probably kept people in their gardens but I just wanted to pass on what a great job you did.

Another great day with entertaining shows and excellent refreshments. I'm dismayed regarding the drop in the numbers, though, which really does make the next one a 'use it or lose it', situation, because a similar drop would clearly mean the end. The weather was worrying me even before I arrived, but I still struggle to understand why sunshine is such a problem. I can't believe that any member here would be put off by this, as you have one chance a year to attend BST (or a comparable event near London in 2019), but numerous chances to mow the lawn or do something outdoors! I went with two non-collectors and both were surprised that such a good event doesn't attract the support it deserves.

I am really surprised and disheartened to hear there was a drop in numbers, it looked pretty busy to me, with a lot of buying and selling. I will add my voice to those who say 'Use It Or Lose It' - seriously, it is a terrific day for collectors - and it was really good to see you all!

Regretfully some have no idea the amount of work that goes into organising these events having put a few on myself. Those who do the work do so out of REEL love for film and it showed throughout the day at Big Screen Time.

As far as I know this is the only film fair where free Ukelele lessons were on offer as well.
