OK I thought to really display how amazing Paul's lamp modification is I would do a side by side by side comparison using the following lamps.
1 - A Pathe Baby using an original type C lamp.(bottom right in vid)
2 - A more powerful LUX YA using a 50w type O lamp (top in video)
3 - Pathe Baby using a 12v 15w lamp in Paul's modified socket (left)
Lamp Test
It is pretty staggering how different the light output is...So staggering I am thinking about next weekend bringing home the meter we have at work to test the brightness of the light output from the 35mm projectors in our screening room. That way I can say precisely what the lighting difference is.
OH and while I'm at it I finally added the last piece of "clobber" to my baby....It now has a motor, the reel extensions, the super rewind, the lens magnifier, and finally the tilting mechanism........AWESOME!

I'm curious as to what the numbers are too Dino. That is a heck of a difference in light.
What segment of OUR GANG was that you used in the test?
