Here is my newest projector a 28mm Pathescope Premier in action...I still feel like I have some cleaning to do as it ran a little noisier than I expected, but perhaps that is just the nature of a 90+ year old projector.. The only real drawback to this one is the shutter is a little bent, but perhaps I can straighten it out, and I will be modifying the lamp to something more modern so as to not have to worry about large price replacements. Here is a short video of it I made on my camera tonight..

Looks very good - and would have thought you could straighten the shutter, DE. A thought strikes - when you come over for our 50th why not stay a bit longer and go on to the French do at Argentuil? Or get in touch with the French/Dutch and see if they can bring stuff over for you to see????

Wonderful machine Dino and also nice to see it running instead of sat on a shelf as so many vintage machines seem to. Used to have the Pathe 28mm KOK myself which eventually I motorised in order to transfer a box full of films to HD video. Sadly I let my machine go as a chap wanted one to relive some of his youth but 28mm is a very interesting gauge with some startlingly sharp films on it.

David - I thought the French were coming over to visit with you folks, no? Perhaps I will have to look into that and I am sure my wife would enjoy a trip to France....

Lee - Thanks for the kind words, and I know what you mean...I always look for videos on youtube of interesting projectors, and it really disappoints me to see someone who has put a video up of a film projector that either simply sits there looking pretty, or perhaps in the case of a KOK, they would only crank it once or twice....It might as well be a sculpture or a statue if you are not going to run a film through it.... [Big Grin]

Fantastic machine and great video!

I think you're refering to my video's on youtube, Dino. It's very hard to crank the projector with my left hand and hold the camera with my right hand [Wink]

. That's why I only crank it a few times (just to show that the mechanism works).
