I just picked up what appears to be a 4 reel feature version of the horror movie STANLEY - about a guy in the Florida Everglades who has an healthy snake obsession. It's a print from Germany and I can't communicate with the seller that well. Does anyone have a print of this? If so, can you post a little about it (color, editing, etc.)? This is one of my favorite "bad" horror flicks from the 70's and I'm excited to get it on 8mm!

Brian-

Thats so cool! I remember this movie well. I never knew it was available on super 8. I really loved these type of movies back in the 70's. My favorite was "Frogs" [Cool] . I have only a trailer to that one.

Nick.

When I first saw the topic heading "STANLEY super 8 horror" my first thought was that someone has been cleaning the film path with a Stanley knife!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

What would be cool is if they made a cross-over film called "Stanley meets Willard".

Snakes(epecially big ones)find rats rather tasty!

It could be a rare case of one horror film eating another.

Wow - the boxes look great. I can't wait to get my print which is on it's way to me from Germany. I'm a little bummed there is no balance stripe. I always like to keep the original German track intact and just record on track 2 - but I will have to make an exception with this one. I wonder if the film is uncut? You can tell the DVD has bits of gore cut out which will make re-recording the super8 print a little challenging!

Andreas - Thanks for the info... Actually the film could have used a little editing so 80 minutes sounds about right. I just hope the snake attack scenes are intact.

Andreas - No I actually ordered the print from someone else in Germany - Horst is his first name. You probably know him. That's cool about Horror Hospital being available too. Did Royal release any other horror titles?
