Can anyone help or tell me if this was ever released on Super 8 by Universal 8. And if so does any one have a copy that i could either borrow or buy? If it is faded or beat up not a problem as i am trying to track one down for someones 30th Birthday Party which will be in a couple of weeks.

Robert,

U8 did indeed release an excellent double album of "Xanadu" (I think it runs better than the F/L film), but there are few of these about these days, as this was one of the last batch of new releases from U8 in the 80's, so not so many printed, it does come up occasionally, at a price, but if you find a good one, then well worth every penny.

Robert,

here in Germany the S8 distributor piccolo film released also an 2 x 400 ft. version of this film. I think the took over the Universal 8 prints an record the german sound like the did it with many other U8-Releases.

On ebay Germany is a print for sale (german sound) look

here are more informations about the german release:

the german trailer (also by piccolo)

and the 2 x 400 ft. version with the nice package

Hope this helps a little bit [Wink]

Andreas,

thats interesting. I' ve never seen the german piccolo or U8 release and was thinking piccolo took over the U8 release like they do with other films. [Confused]

So Xanadu is like Galactica III. Piccolo has made an own version of Galactica III and U8 never released this title.

Thank for the information Andreas. [Smile]
