Does anyone out there have a manual for this projector ? Design # 1745

There were may Filmosconics. There should be a model number as well. I think there were playback only, recording/playback and even one that wasn't sound by synched up with a special B&H tape cassette player.

Bev, that sounds like a Filmosonic 600, possibly 600PS (or other letters after the number). Can you provide a photo of your machine?
