Can anyone explain if these really work you simply stick them inside a can and it eliminates VS what if one already has VS will it work on that or does it simply prevent VS? it is at the bottom of the webpage.

I am not familiar with this product, however if I were to guess Id say it acts like molecular sieves - and is not a 'cure' for VS.

It sounds as if it prevents the buildup of outgassing as do molecular sieves, although these claim to provide protection for a considerably longer time than molecular sieves - in addition to protecting from mold/mildew.

I have no experience with the product so I cant say if they work or not. Brad Miller would be a good person to drag into this thread for his two cents.

You out there Brad ?

What a cool website. The prices aren't bad eaither.

I don't think the seller is implying these cure VS films, but rather, like molecular sieves, they will prolong the life of films by eleminating gas build-up.

I remember some recent documentaries about persons in the UK found found burnt to a crisp while sleeping in their comfy chairs. Speculation was, this was due to gas build-up. [Big Grin]

Well....sorry, Dan, but its called Vinegar Syndrome ELIMINATOR!!!

I reckon the seller is implying that the product ELIMINATES Vinegar Syndrome.

Eliminates VS BEFORE the fact.

(Usually called "prevention".)

-Apparently it eliminates VS in DVDs and CDs too!
