BEAUTY AND THE BUS is an enjoyable short. Patsy's first short in the series that also has a brief glimpse of Dorothy "Echo" DeBorba in the theatre audience.

Butch can also be seen in the Blackhawk Charley Chase short YOU SAID A HATFUL, as well as L&H's BLOCKHEADS.

Good one Mike,

Dorothy has a brief part in Bombshell with Jean Harlow,
and Spanky is in Kentucky Kernels with Wheeler and Woolsey.

How many things I'm discovering.
Michael, do you think it could be possible to find that commercial released by Steel Valley Films (I suppose you are meaning on super 8)?

Yes,

My copy is on Super 8.

Others are on 16mm.

It's very, very, short and a lot of fun.

Gian Luca,

I'm glad that you found it.

It's a good film to play between shorts
on a Rascal program.

The hunt continues.

Regarding YOU SAID A HATFUL, about 15 years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Tommy "Butch" Bond at a movie collector's show where he was selling and autographing his new autobiography book. I had just picked up HATFUL on Super 8 a few months before. We got to chatting and I asked him about working with Charley Chase, and he immediately said, "Yes, in I'LL TAKE VANILLA." I mentioned HATFUL and he got a puzzled look on his face -- he wasn't aware of it. The filmography in his book doesn't mention it either.

I have FISHY TALES and THE LITTLE REBEL, the latter being a digest from 'General Spanky' - Currently, there is a fine seller offering his entire collection of Roach shorts, slowly though (Super 8 Sound and Silent) Finest boxes I've yet seen for L&H and Our Gang especially - So check out EBAY under 8mm Films - Ciao, Shorty (Giuseppe)

Ciao Giuseppe.

I'm doing my best to buy some of the titles actually for sale on Ebay USA you are referring about! FISHY TALES is simply hilarious.

GENERAL SPANNKY was never aired here in Italy. So I don't have any idea about it. And I know it's pretty hard to find the digest you are talking about. I hope to find it, one day. All the best.

Every time I buy something from members of this forum I get really happy and satisfied.
Keith A., Kevin C., Kevin F., Mark T.: all fantastic sellers and, first of all, collectors (sorry if I did not mention all of you, guys!).

Tonight my thanks go to Hans. A great man. Great collector and dealer. Professional, punctual and very, very friendly.

Your OUR GANG shorts have been delivered today. Excellent prints, Hans.
And you have been really kind (as always).
Once more, public thanks to you.

Hans,
it's not simply what I think.
It is what all of us would like to say to other sellers every time we find movies (it doesn't matter what kind of) we had been looking for so longtime.
Once more, Hans, thanks a lot.

Gian, SMALL TALK is wonderful (Super 8 Sound 2X400') - I agree that FREE EATS and BEGINNER'S LUCK are hard to get, though not impossible - Checking through some Blackhawk Bulletins, indeed they released everything, so it's all out there and the 'Chase' continues...Ciao, Shorty
