Were there actually dye transfer super 8 prints made by Technicolor at some point?

I thought not.

I do know that there were standard 8mm color prints made in the Cinecolor process.

Sadly no IB on 8mm. If there were it might have given the gauge a bit more longevity. In the late '70's the cost of silver shot up making filmstock much more expensive just as video was coming into vogue with full features on VHS costing the same as 8mm digests. As IB prints could be made on clear celluloid, prints could have been cheaper and on polyester stock virtually indestructible.

Apparently, I've just learnt that Disney did, in fact, produce some IB Tech prints in the 50's on Standard 8.

As I thought though, nothing on Super 8.

I'd take that with a pinch of salt. Some standard 8 prints were made in kodachrome which is sometimes confused with IB. I made enquiries at Technicolor many years ago about 8mm printing and they said they had never done it. In fact their labs were all geared toward 35mm. Even their 16mm prints were printed double rank on 35mm and then the stock was split and trimmed a la good old std 8.
