Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone might be familiar with the
Bell and Howell 466z projectors?
Have a chance to get one of these but haven't had any
experience with this model and know nothing about them.
The guy who owns it said it's dual 8mm.
Any experiences/opinions on this particular model?

Here's is a link to read all about it!

Thanks for the link.
My main concern is how gentle these are on film and
how smooth they handle the changeover from standard
to super 8.

funny, I just posted a request to help me figure out what's wrong with mine.
I would love to know what you think of it, cause I don't know if it's worth fixing or not.

Interesting, I went to the link you posted, and it shows the 466ZB having a 150w bulb, and the 466Z having a 250, which I believe is incorrect. the ZB also has a 250w bulb.

Doing a bit of reading on this projector over
the past few days.
Seems it takes a 250 watt DLH lamp, and checking
through some of the sales lists it looks like this
is a very costly lamp to replace.
Any ideas on decent priced sources for this lamp,
or if there are other cheaper alternatives that can
be used instead of the DLH?

Thanks

Yes, this projector can be modified for a few dollars to use a much cheaper halogen lamp that will last much longer without sacrificing light output and quality.

Thanks Jon...
so what exactly would be involved in changing
this projector to use the halogen bulb (and
which type of bulb would be the best alternative?)
