Would anyone happen to know if Blackhawk released silent versions of Little rascals shorts that were originally produced with sound?

Thanks for your time

Hi Mark,

I would have thought they released more, but looking at a Blackhawk Catalog from 1978 all I can find that were also released as silent versions of The Rascals, was Hook and Ladder, and Moan and Groan. Blackhawk did release other silent prints that were originally sound films as well too. One of my first films from Blackhawk in 1978, which I got for Christmas when all I had was a silent Bell and Howell, was silent version of The Dentist with W.C. Fields. Laurel and Hardy for sure were released by Blackhawk in silent prints as well too. I hope this helps. They did release the older silent Rascals shorts with both a soundtrack and without as well too.

Thank you Bradford,

This is incredibly helpful. Often sellers post Blackhawk shorts on sites such as Ebay without specifying whether the print is sound or silent.

Thanks again for your time.

Mark
