The Film Forever Company carries Vitafilm but the reason no one, including our company, can ship outside of the U.S. is because
Vitafilm is flammable under extreme conditions, and expands at high altitudes. Therefore, it is not safe (or legal) to ship Vitafilm by air, which unfortunately, is the only way to ship packages outside of the continental United States.

Hi James,

thanks for the reply.

Indeed I don't understand why Wittner in Germany in the past offered VitaFilm, and now no more, and from where they were taking the product, if not from US....

Anyway, it seems quiet impossible to find it anywhere. [Frown]

Flavio,

Another reason that it's not made available in Europe are some of the stupid EU laws coming out of Brussels these days. We may never know for sure, but if Wittner sold it before and do not now, I bet you it's on a restricted import EU list (at least some of the ingredients in the formula).

The EU where everyday its April Fools Day.

Latest Vacuum Cleaners 2000w too powerful must make smaller 1200w. Now it will take twice as long and use 2400w? Crazy.

Other than Film Guard & VitaFilm what other cleaners are available?

Getting Film Renew from the USA has become impossible for the same reason. One of the main 'villains' here is USPS, as collectors would order it via surface mail until USPS made the crazy decision to completely end the surface mail option a few years ago.

I don't suppose anyone knows of a courier service that offers surface mail from the USA? Otherwise if a helpful person in Canada could somehow obtain the product, I think surface mail from Canada is still possible.

Jose - interesting to hear of the product above, but as far as I can tell, it's specifically a film cleaner, so it may not have the lubrication qualities that Vitafilm has?

They state on their site : "in most cases, will CURE vinegar syndrome, when used as directed." http://vitafilm.com/
As everybody seem to agree that there is no cure for VS, this is surprising. Has anyone (in the US, Vitafilm not being available in Europe) tried this product to cure VS ?
