Just bought an RKO 2-reeler from Independent 8. The title on the film is "Tex Beneke and the Glenn Miller Orchestra." However, the title on the D.C.R. box is "Melody Time".

Is it in the wrong box, or did Dave quote a made-up name as obviously being an RKO release perhaps it was owned by Mountain?

The Internet Movie Database quotes the title as "Tex Beneke and the Glenn Miller Band".

Hello Maurice,

I've got exactly the same print and my box also says Melody Time - I have to say the band sounds absolutely brilliant! I'm a professional session musician who plays on modern movie soundtracks for a living and the standard of musicianship then was second to none. I'm always looking for super 8 or 16mm from this period if you're ever looking to sell any.
