Don't worry, colleague! If I happen to spot you, I'll stop and exchange a few words (possibly many more) with you.

But perhaps a "Hello, I'm... " balloon attached to the shirt might help...

I should have done that, like Maurice did last time. It's time to go to the train station, so I hope my picture from the forum will be enough :-) My next post here will be when I will be back in Belgium as I won't connect in the UK.

Have a great BFCC and hope it is a success.

Thanks to Keith and his helpers for staging the event although because I'm wrapping up a funding bid for my village cinema I'm unable to attend and dead jealous of those who can [Frown]

Have a fun day all!

I felt as if I had stepped back in time at the BFCC, there were new releases I had not seen before from Classic Home Cinema on show on the Giant screen.

After watching the very funny Mr Magoo cartoon release I found that I was too slow as by then they had all gone! Never mind as there was plenty else to spend my money on. As well as an excellent new print I came away with some very good quality used prints from the many dealers and bring and buy.

Hugely impressed by the the shows running in the big cinema all day, the giant screen comparable in size to many modern cinemas. How many times is that super 8 frame magnified? 16 and 35mm shows too! all very professional.

Many thanks to Kieth and all people involved for the big effort and the hard work put in for one very special day.

Another great day ! It started very badly because the Central Line of London's underground choosed this week-end to make some work. As a consequence, a section of the line which leads to the BFCC from downtown was not in use. I had to stop in the middle of the journey, take a bus to another tube station, only to discover that I had to take a second bus (not my mistake, I just followed the instructions...) to a third station where I could finally take a train to Ealing Broadway. That trip took me over two hours instead of the 30 expected minutes. I was rewarded by seeing known faces and meeting memebers of this forum I only knew from the net (among them, a Belgian member I met for the first time and that happened in London). There was a good choice of films and nice projection. The only black point was the empty tables of Buckingham films, which lead to concerns about Tony. I hope to be able to go to the next edition !

The absence of Buckingham Films was a disappointment for quite a few collectors. I had a good time, the cinema shows were very good but even though I wore a name tag, only Adrian Winchester approached me. I didn't think I was so scary as to frighten fellow collectors away!!

Had I been able to be there Mal, and remembering your company at the Ruislip venue, I would have certainly sought you out for a chat. [Smile] Best wishes my friend.

Thanks Paul, I was hoping you had managed to sneak a visit this time as you did in Ealing a few years ago, but to no avail.
best wishes,
Mal

I took a picture with Nick and our two Italian members who attended the event but I'm not good in posting it on the forum :-) Next year, we should find a way to take a group picture of all the members of this forum.

I should say, I travelled all from Belgium to spend the weekend in the area, and it was totally worth it. The convention was really nice, I had a wonderful weekend. Thanks to the organizators and all other to spend some time together!

Hello everyone

I had a great day out at the BFCC - my special sincere thanks to Keith Wilton & John Clancy (and 'The Team of Helpers') who made this possible again.

I bought a mint 16mm print of Tex Avery's King Size Canary for my cartoon collection, plus what now seems like a lifetime supply of Xenon lamps from my favourite film dealer, so very pleased indeed with the day's purchases.

I particularly enjoyed the 35mm shows having started screening 35mm at home in the last year using a Spectra similar to Keith's.

Also seeing the excellent Super 8 Derann Capricorn One 'scope digest prompted me to watch my own print again this weekend it is so good.

Looking forward to the next BFCC already.

Kevin

Great video there and pictures.

So good to hear it was a success; it certainly looks superbly organised.

Total admiration to the Keith, John and everyone else that keep these events going.
