I've got a print of the WDHM 'Love Bug #53', but as I don't have the OB could one of the members tell me which 'Herbie' movie this is from.

Hi Barry. Mark is right of course, but if it helps the WDHM numbers are;

No. 312 “Herbie the Love Bug” from the original. 144ft 7 mins.

No. 313 “Love Bug # 53” from Herbie Rides Again. 153ft 7 2/3 mins.

No. 316 “Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo” from the feature. 165ft 8 1/4 mins.

“Love Bug # 53” synopsis reads,

“See Herbie’s exciting capers in this episode from Walt Disney Productions’ HERBIE RIDES AGAIN.
He’s the same ol’ Love Bug but is full of new tricks involving Helen Hayes, Ken Barry and Stephanie Powers”.

I actually was lucky enough to run into some of those old 16MM "preview" reels, (little two to three minute snippets from the features that used to be sent to local TV affiliates), and they were fortunately, printed on Agfa film stock! Still look as good as the day they were printed.

Oh, yeah, they are from the first film.
