Hi everyone,
I found my Grandpa's old GAF 2688Z projector and wanted to watch some old family films he had. I tried turning it on but the light didn't work so I bought a new bulb. Even after buying a new light it still isn't lighting up. I can't seem to find answers anywhere and saw this forum so hopefully someone can help. Thank you!

You should check the wires to the lamp socket with a multimeter to see if there is voltage getting to the socket. If yes then the socket may have some corrosion. Sometimes just put the bulb in the socket and out again a few times will break up the corrosion and make a better contact. It's also possible that the bulb you bought is bad. It happens.
