And again... an Ebay auction with bids is closed in advance!

Alberto, you are absolutely an unfair seller!

I hope that everyone here realizes this, and doesn't buy anymore from you !

That's all!

A premise: I think that the intervention of Flavio Stable is unseemly and rancorous.
eBay is not a prison, as he would like it to be.
No coincidence that eBay allows to remove the object with more reasons, one of which is "object that is no longer available" ... ...Think carefully about what this means.
But this is a discussion already made and I think also a discussion hypocritical.
Anyway, there may be many reasons for early close an auction on eBay or a sale here on the forum, such as happened to Francisco Javier Herrera, who sold Disney movies for a third person who then changed his mind.
No one should be allowed to judge, moreover it seems to me also offensive and unbecoming to wish me not to make more sales by encouraging all members of the forum (in this regard I request the intervention of an administrator of the forum)
So ... I'm here, eBay may be fine, but I decide, within the rules of ebay, how to sell, with respect to those who write things that remind the parable of the fox and the grapes.
Is pleasing to me the opportunity to cordially greet all those who have taken kindly to me reports of exchange, purchase and sale

Fabio, if you are interested in the films Alberto is offering, just send him a PM through this forum with your offer. It think Alberto has all the right to handle his sales as he please and anyway ebay gives him the options to end his sales. Alberto is actually giving the forum members and advantage, we all have the opportunity of making direct offers for the films he is posting on ebay. Sorry, but he has the right to get the best deals out of it.

I would be pissed off if I had put a bid in on ebay and the auction was ended due to a private sale. I don't know how this works, but I would hope the seller would be charged a fee if s/he ended a sale on eBay with bids... hopefully a fee commensurate to the bids - i.e. 10%. Does eBay ask the reason for an auction with bids ending early? Do you give reasons? Can you say you have had a private sale? Or do you end an auction early because you've discovered your item was 'broken'?

From eBay UK:

Valid reasons for ending a listing early include:
You accidentally listed the same item more than once.
You made an error in the starting price or reserve amount.
You made an error in the listing that you couldn't correct. Please note that Insertion Fees are generally non-refundable so you should try to Edit Your Listing instead of closing it early.
You lost or broke the item.
Items have been listed on your account without your consent. See Account Theft for more information.

I have not placed bids on this auction, btw.

I would be upset if the auction ended early after I wanted to bid. (I usually wait until the end to avoid boosting the price too high anyways).

However, Alberto has been nice enough to give us the chance to make him offers- possibly taking less than what the items will sell for at times (maybe sometimes getting more, who knows). He has been straight forward and courteous in his replies to me. While I can understand why someone might be upset loosing out on the opportunity, I don't feel he is doing anything wrong.

I have also removed items from eBay in the past using the option "it is no longer available" function

Selling outside Ebay can be included in "item is no longer available" which is valid accoroding to Ebay rules.

It is totally the right of seller to do what he/she wants for his items except 24 hours before the end of his/her listing. This one is specified in the rules.

Ebay has actually listing fee, which must be paid by the seller whether the item is sold or not, but Ebay itself who changed the rules by saying "pay the listing fee when item is sold"... I guess this to attract more sellers to come.

So, Ebay understands fully of this situation, and there is no point to wish seller who withdraw the listing to pay money/fee to Ebay.

Exact Winbert, and thanks Julian and thanks Evan, thank you both for your correct post
I always responded with courtesy and clarity to all those who have communicated, appreciating the interest of all. On the other hand I have to sell, do not do charity work.
And I do it by the rules ... otherwise I would not be on eBay since 2004, having over 1800 positive feedback...
I think I deserve respect for this, but there are some people who write, they ask, suppose, then, despite the kindness and clarity of my answers, although I appreciate everyone, absolutely everyone who is interested in my sales, they vent their anger on the forum for not being able to buy, or because they can not afford to buy. Then put in doubt the fact that eBay allows to end a listing early hoping sanctions seem really miserable.
You can interrupts an auction before the end also for the fact that an object is no longer available. Point.
You do not have to give other explanations... adding that one should not be resentful towards those who sell and those who buy. We report the regulation of eBay Italy, France, UK and U.S.A. .
Ebay.com: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/end_early.html
Ebay.co.uk: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/end_early.html
French: http://pages.ebay.fr/help/sell/end_early.html
Italy: http://pages.ebay.it/help/sell/end_early.html

For me this topic is closed not only annoying. This argument had already been made clear in recent times, it is likely to be repetitive and boringI will not make another post about

I do have to agree there, if ebay states "item no longer available " then that covers it, i have used this twice in five years, & most importantly, its been sold to a fellow collector on here. Thats a good thing in my mind. [Wink]
