This rare print of Cricket On The Hearth from 1923 is indeed a treasure. This is of course a film adaption of the Charles Dickens book with the same title. This is a Blackhawk Films print that is mounted on four 400' reels, This film is quite sharp and nice condition. Although the film doesn't have a lot of really big name stars the acting is quite good and has a story line that pulls you in. Has fancy title cards throughout the film and picturesque English countryside scenes. Although, some things are streamlined and condensed from the Dickens story, it sticks fairly close to the original plot. It does have a house fire scene that isn't in the book.

Great review and a fairly sharp print as well! Good job!
