Hello all. Your kind advice please. Just acquired an Elf Eiki 16mm projector. It runs, lam comes on etc etc but the arms/spindles dont turn. So checked the belting fine, then I noted that the belt coming from the motor to the cog fitted to the main shaft 9that drives everything) is not moving. I checked this stepped cog (for different frequencies) and it is free spinning on the drive shaft. The screw used to attach is tight, so:
should this pully cog be free spinning (ie does it make a friction contact like clutch plates etc)

If not how do I repair????

Awaiting your kind thoughts, thank you.

Hi Mark,

Is the shutter rotating? Have you got the still-picture lever (to the front of lamphouse cover) depressed? This lever operates the camtank clutch.

Mark,

From my vast experience best if you take off the full arm shaft and re-lubricate this should solve your problem.

If you need further help, please contact me direct.
