I have just received a copy of the Stewart Granger classic 'Footsteps in the Fog'. My query concerns the opening titles, where the typeface is different. The first image is from the original film, the second is from a B&W incomplete copy on Ebay, that is the same, only in B&W, and the third image is my copy, with a different typeface. It has the same background of folded silk. Why would another set of titles and cast list be made? Has anyone come across anything like this before? The titles are all part of the print, and not spliced on.
I have just noticed in my copy, the American spelling of Color instead of Colour, would this explain the change, that it was for the American market?
