Is this really rare and worth the asking price. Sounds outrageous to me.

I guess the seller must have taken a wrong turn somewhere along the yellow brick road.

According to the seller, the box says Super 8mm. That works out to approx. $40 per minute, if it's the full feature, which at 4 x 400ft,I doubt! [Eek!]

Just out of interest, does anyone have "a local film duplicator store" nearby, or this something just peculiar to the "Midwest" U.S.A? [Confused]

Lucky devil!

If you investigate his other "film's" in his shop it would appear that he has the "rare" "Gullivers Travels" at $59.95 also., but he only thinks its black and white (looking at the first few feet) but he doesn't have a projector so he can't inspect it ! Some expert in rarities, don't you think? This is a dealer you can place your full trust in.

Martin, you would think he could run it around to his local "film duplicator shop" and ask them to "run off" a colour version? Then again, that wouldn't be "original and rare" would it? [Confused]

Now here's a thought...... All you avid collectors out there....I'm sure you'd like to own this one. It is "buy it now" OR "Best offer".. Do you think he'd realise he'd been rumbled if he got 10 or 20 seperate offers of $9.75? OOOHH, I am EVIL!

I've sent some questions, see below. What's the betting there's no answer?

"Does it come with the leads to connect it to a TV or computer. Is it NTSC or PAL? What tape does it use?"

I have also reported it for serious mis-description.

I don't think the seller is being purposefully misleading. I think he just does not know what he has there with the camera.

It gets better.

I sent a note saying that first of all, this was an 8mm FILM camera, not a camcorder, and that, secondly, perhaps $80 might be a more reasonable price (if the camera in fact is in decent shape.)
This quote was his exact response:

"put some cash ill show you ... master"
