I read on the 35mm Forum that brand new prints are being struck of the Film Classics trailer release of Way Out West, starring Laurel & Hardy.
I'm guessing this is the trailer that was used during the 1947 release of the feature? Anyway, the print is selling for $150.00 and I would love to have it, but I do not run 35mm. From what has been posted, the content of this trailer is funny, although the price is not a joke.
Is there anyway of garnering support to have this made in 16 and Super 8? I'm sure that there are collectors in both formats that would also love to have this in their collection.
I contacted the point person at the 35mm Forum, and he was courteous but said that there was no easy way to do this.
If anyone believes this is viable, can we see a show of hands and how we can get this achieved?
Michael
