We caught Charlie and the Chocolate factory in IMAX. The film is brilliantly executed, and it's great to see a flick on a 50 foot screen.
But Tim Burton has a unique signature for cynical and creepy imagery. Even scary in parts for young children. There are many homage's to classic films, sprinkled along the way. Esther Williams, Psycho, Ben Hur, to name a few. And if that Oompa Loompa does not have a striking resemblance to Deepak Chopra, I do not know how else to compare it?
This is one that you either love or hate. I thought it had value.

Our Imax theatre screen is not a wide screen, so do they have black bands top and bottom or do do they chop the sides off, compared to a cinema presentation?

Looking at the web site for here there is no mention of the films date/times, so must assume it could well be next year.

The IMAX closest to me is in Cleveland, Ohio - and its website is not very informative when it comes to upcoming features like this, either.
