Lately we have been watching quite a few of Frank Sinatra's films, and I have decided I don't like the guy. In everyone of his films he seems to wear a perpetual chip on his shoulder which frankly(no pun intended) gets tiresome after a while. I know he's acting of course, after all these are just movies, but I have always believed that the camera sees something of an actors soul, and a lot of an actors real character somehow gets projected on that silver screen. In Sinatra's case his real character seems to be obnoxious and immature with a perpetual bad attitude, and if that is really the case he must have been very hard to put up with. The Rat Pack movies are particularly boorish, with their perpetual emphasis on booze and loose women.
His singing of course is another matter, but for now at least I have seen quite enough of old blue eyes.

I remember in the 60s if someone tried to take a photo of him, he snatched the camera and threw it to the ground, surrounded by bodyguards of course. He probably knew something of the death of Marilyn Monroe; and he had links to the mafia.
