I've just found out that my old boss at Cinema Entertainment Company (later just CEC) died in June after suffering a stroke.
He was only in his late 40's, and it's such a shame, and many 8mm collectors will remember him.

Barry what sad news and I remember him very well. I think he was also featured in one of the Movie Club super 8 Magazines as well but my goodness only in his 40’s. Prayers for his loved ones.

That is sad news indeed. Bought quite a few films from him at one of the BFCCs in the Top Hat Club. Gary appears in Keith Wilton's DVD 'Hollywood UK'

Ver sorry indeed to hear this. I didn't know Gary personally but I admired his enterprise in producing some Super 8 releases and even holding open days at the CEC premises, one of which I attended. I recall he also organised at least two Christmas dinners with small associated film fairs.
