I think Martin is taking a demeaning attitude towards the hobby of Lego which is enjoyed by millions of people all over the world. Lego is many different things to different people, and you can enjoy many different aspects of lego designs. Some people like engineering pieces or robotics. Others like to assemble really impressive structures like the Palace Cinema. I think if Martin went through the process of assembling a 2000 plus piece Lego structure, he might have a little more respect for the assembler! And please don't knock other peoples hobbies, after all most people think all we cine types are nuts!

Hi Paul
Hope your additions to the cinema are going well. There is a Lego exhibition going on in this city, this weekend...here is a photo taken by the local press of one such family project of a...30.000-piece Hercules aircraft.

That's an amazing model Graham, I wonder how long that took. The Palace Cinema is currently on display in my cinema foyer. We hope to have the lighting project completed in time for the Christmas holiday season.

Hey that looks great guys. Although I have never been a Lego kind of person even when I was a kid I think that looks great. ( I was always into model kits and railways )
Many happy hours spent assembling that Cinema I bet.
It puts a lot of our modern day same old, same old Multiplex bland cinemas to shame.
I have a 00 gauge Hornby Skaledale ESSOLDO model cinema for my model railway layout and a half relief ABC cinema card kit.
I really like all things cinema so I might even buy this Lego set for myself and grandchildren.

As an enormous Lego fan as a young child and then a Techno Lego fan when I reached double figures, I would love to have a kit of this particular build myself if I was lucky enough to own a dedicated cinema room.
It would look superb on display at the entrance along with movie posters, vintage projectors and other such memorabilia!

And for around 100 Dollars more you can turn your new model cinema into a fully illuminated neon showpiece for your foyer!

Congratulations Graham to you and your grandson on completing The Palace Cinema. It is a very impressive piece. Mine is on display in my home cinema. And thanks Andrew for that YouTube link to the illuminated Palace Cinema. Wow, that guy did an incredible job, it looks beautiful. Here is the light kit for $99.99: https://www.brickloot.com/products/lego-palace-cinema-led-lighting-kit

This makes me wonder if anyone has tried to make a working 35mm projector out of Lego. I suspect smaller gauges would be too difficult.
