I'm going to take a guess Jim. The seller is probably new to Ebay. Ebay puts a hold on funds for usually 21 - 22 days. They want to make sure the items get shipped to the buyer. Often if the seller creates a shipping label and post tracking the money is released sooner.

Some of these policies can be quite un-nerving for the seller. I once had a buyer who put a stipulation on his payment that only upon the films arriving would I be paid ...

Well hey, what if the person up and decided that they don't like the print and then just want to send it back? In other words, folks who just want to watch the print once or twice, get a convenient case of "buyers remorse" andf then, as if the ebay seller is a wal-mart' just bring the item back, more used and perhaps damaged, and just want they're money back?

Granted, these kind of "buyers" are most certainly the exception and not the rule, but annoying, just the same. I cancelled his transaction and just re-listed.
