Week of October 11th 2018

I will be off line for a while as I will soon be dealing with the moving company packing things up, and relocating.

Everybody be good, and I will check back and update as soon as I can. Message me on Facebook - "Chip Gelmini" - any other attempt to reach me is fine, but I can not promise a rapid reply.

And my visit to Cinesea has been postponed until some other event and time.

Kind Regards

CHIP GELMINI

Hope all goes well, Chip.

I suspect that like myself, getting your new cinema up and running will be high on the priority list at your new abode!

Good luck with the move.

..... and don't forget that when you have set up your new cinema down there in Florida, we would love to see some photo's.... and possibly a short video of your work!....... and also don't forget the air conditioning you'll need in the "sunshine state!"

Good Luck!

Good to hear, Chip ...

I know that, when we should move into another home in the future, i want to get an ole school house with a detached garage ...

Yep, you guessed it ...

In short order, that garage would have power and be converted into me own mini movie theater! Screw the car! Let it suffer in the cold. I'm not into cars ... I'm into film!!!

Friday November 2 update

Arrived Florida October 17th. After a day of rest, we began looking for a home Friday October 19th. In less than one week, I found a mobile home double wide.

Looking at the pictures on line, the living room photos said THEATER in big bold letters which were blinking on and off and changing colours as they flashed.

Well, not really. But you get the point.

Meeting with the real estate agent and getting inside, the living room came up about 5 feet less space then what I had in the basement in Massachusetts. HOW DOES THAT SOUND?

The closing is scheduled for November 7th. I predict watching movies before Christmas.

I can't even begin to find the words how good I feel right now.

It's a cash sale. And I own the land. No stupid over priced lot rent for this guy. They say the lot rent covers some utitlities and I understand that. But I also suspect I can do much better on those same utilities myself without the raise for profit on them.

I am about to be a first time homebuyer. WOW this is starting to feel real good.

The rest of it is 2 bedroom, full kitchen, 2 bath. And an HOA in the 55+ park of only $40.00 yep that's right FORTY USD per month. And, I'm on top of a hill and the land around me is protected. NOBODY can build directly behind my pad.

Thanks in advance for your continued support. I'll be busy the next few months getting this done.

And thanks so much to my Mom and Dad. They knew this was my dream. I can't believe how much I miss them...........

Chip, that sounds really, really good. I hope it all goes so well as it looks now! Congratulations. And yeah, land rent: avoid.

That sounds great Chip. I know what you mean by space rent. We pay $734. Wish I owned the land but this is California and is expensive.

Congrats Chip! That's a great accomplishment, and glad to hear the move went well, that's quite a haul from MA to FL. Definitely post some pics of the new theatre once you get it set up!
