It looks like there are now no supplies of these lamps for the GS1200. I managed to get my hands on a few but have now been told by Wiko (USA) that GE have now stopped making them for good.
My suggestion is to keep you eyes open in dealers shops as there are probably some still sitting on shelevs. The alternative is to use the EJL which will give less light output as it has a filament designed to cover the 16mm gate whereas the ESC has a tighter filament bunch to cover the 8mm gate. Later Elmos should be ok with the ELC lamp which again is designed for 16mm but the extra 50W makes up for the light loss.
I checked the lamp voltage on my GS with the ESC and ELC lamps and there was no differance in voltage which would indicate that the extra current being drawn is being handled by the transformer. A similar test on a Mk1 GS showed a drop in voltage when using the ELC which would mean the the transformer cant handle the extra current.
My GS is a Muti-voltage machine which has a slightly different transformer to the fixed voltage ones.
If you want to use the ELC check with a voltage meter first. Voltage drop-dont use. Voltage the same-should be ok.
Probably heard all this before but I thought it worth putting on here so its posted for others to see again.

PS I'll put other Elmo tips on here over a period of time.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.

Dear Kevin,

Very good news from Derann, they have made contact with a lamp maker who is willing to make a quantity of the GS-1200 lamp (ESC), and I believe that when supplies come through (about 8-10 weeks I believe) that the price will still be in the same region that Derann have been charging, but look out on for more information in their newsletters or go onto their website for the latest information.
