My GS has been running good until tonight.The take-up reel stops and starts by its self.You can hear noise coming from the gears in the arm.If a gear is shot my question is are they the same as the take-up reel in the ST 1200?I haven't had a chance to take it apart.Thanks

Sorry to say this but I would think that its more likely to be the motor itself at the back of the arm or the belt in the arm assay. Hope it's not the motor as they are no longer available.
