I have noticed difficulty in mounting some plastic
film reels onto the supply and take up reel spindles
of my GS 1200. The Supply hub has the most damage.
Under close examination, I have noticed small pieces of
the silver metal spindle hub, either crack, flake off or break apart.
Ultimately, it becomes difficult to mount or dismount a
film reel or spool. The tolerance is extremely snug and
pieces of the inside of the film reel become scored; shreding
off pieces of spool plastic.

Is there any way to fix this or replace the parts?

I have never seen this problem before and have owned GS1200's for over 20yrs. Any chance you can take a digital pic showing the problem.

Kevin.

GS1200 Xenon with Elmo 1.0...great combo along with a 16-CL Xenon for that super bright white light.
