I'm still a novice on the PC so i'm still trying to work out how to add a letter of reply without doing it the long way around with a new subject,This forum is excellent, i must thank Kevin for getting me on it, i enjoy being able to read the many collectors and experts views and comments. With regard to the German prints and where they come from i would like to say yes to supporting the dealers, i was just curious as to the origins. I've alway's been surprised that whoever the company or dealer is in Germany that they have never become an outlet themselves after all to purchase from, to me it would be like Derann as they are but with no sales lists and the collector having to purchase all their films through someone like Paul Foster or CHC only. On film rewinding, i cant say what the correct tension should be, what i do know is from my ST1200HD handbook the way the Elmo rewind arms were manufactured they were designed in a way that when used for rewinding the recommended tension was established, these arms have a noticeable amount of slight effort required to use giving all films a nice snug fit to the spool. Quite often a duff spool is the cause of films rewinding with large gaps in the film and/or an egg shape to the rewound film as well as being too loose. Basic stuff but hope it helps some.

Glad to have helped Tom. I think you are right it would be useful to see what other titles are available which we dont know or hear about. I think there are also dealers in Italy and maybe Ugo can enlighten us on that score.
Kev.

Ive heard rumors "Lord of the Rings" may be coming. It was mentioned to me there is talk about this on one of the German film forums. Because of the length of the movie Im sure this will be a pricey title to own but what a blockbuster to have made it to super 8mm. I guess this is proof super 8 is still kicking.
