Have any collectors experienced " film fade" with the Derann/Ken films prints ? Just asking.

I never knew GWTW from Ken. It is always Derann. Cmiw...

If it is Derann then it will never fade

Btw this should be posted on 8mm forum.

Winbert, you mean this title from Derann, not all Derann releases? Because my Scars of Dracula is totally faded

No Vidar Some early Derann faded too.

I just commented GWTW as this one printed by Derann after 1980s.

Cheers,

Gone with the Wind was released in late 1980s by Derann I don't believe any other UK dealer had a negative to produce prints. You could order any title from US and Italy earlier than that if you had more money and even less sense but their material was never up to much and would not have matched the screenshots shown. The Germans were capable but Bond and Indiana Jones type titles were more their style of release. Derek could have swopped the negative with them for other material if they could have German soundtrack.

It's a great movie but it was not a big seller because of price and length.

No fade on ours, its almost like a technicolour print to look at, very vibrant colours. Ours is definatly Derann to. [Wink]

My copy was still okay the last time I watched it but I don't know how it is now though.
I will have to check later on this year when I finally unpack it from storage due to my recent house move.

It should still be perfect for colour David given the era these were printed.
