HI THERE, I HAVE A SHORT FILM I FILMED AND EDITED TOGETHER...I AM IN NEED OF BLOWING IT UP TO 16MM...THE FILM HAS MANY MANY NIGHT SCENES...WITH BRIGHT WHITES. I WAS TOLD I MUST BLOW UP THE FILM TO 16MM THAN TRANSFERED OVER TO DIGBETA FOR THE BEST FILM TO VIDEO TRANSFER. i AM HOPING TO SUBMIT TO FILM FESTIVALS. ANY HELP? I KNOW OF 2 LABS IN NEW YORK,BUT HOPING TO FIND ONE IN CALIFORNIA, SINCE I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO. THANKS, ANY HELP!1 THANKS!!

Robert,
While I disagree with the advice you got about the blow up you can try Yale Labs in Burbank.
Be warned, it ain't cheap. Also if you went to a professional transfer facitility and did a supervised transfer you'll have much better control over density and color than having a blow up made.
The blow up will pick up contrast and depending on the original material (negative or reversal) the amount of latitude that's there will be limited.
