Anyone have experience using this? I got one for free, the unit powers on, light turns on, but when I press play or reverse, there doesn't seem to be any spinning of gears or anything. Even when I feed it into the film feed, nothing is "biting."

Any info appreciated.

Sounds like th edrive belt has perished. You need to take the side off and see if there is a belt from the motor to the drive shaft (that turns everything) If you have a belt in place it may have stretched, so missing or stretched it will need replacing. My Elmo SC18 powered up , light came on but no forward/reverse, autothead loading happened. Once open drive belt was perished, so replaced, easy.

Hi Paul,
The first thing I would do is take the back off and see if the main drive belt is broken or become too loose to turn the wheels.
Keep us posted [Smile]
