Kev, I did as you said and dismantled the top film path that supposedly holds the front micro switch only to find there wasn't one. A local electrical store sold them (they sell everything in there, it's like an Aladins cave) so I purchased one only to find I have no screws that fit the 2 fitting holes [Frown] so I still don't know if this will fix it. A rumage through the tool box in daylight may uncover a couple tommorrow.

Del, Its not behind the guides it in the rear of the machine. Take off the back cover (speakers) and look into the front of the machine just slightly below the top white large cogs you will see the microswitch.

Page 29 of the service manual. Give me a call Fri eve with the rear off the machine and I'll guide you.

Del, It must be the one at the rear of the machine by the take-up output guide. This one is not so easy to get to as you will have to remove the covers.

Strangely, I find the rear switch easier to change than the front one...
