Hello!

Can anyone, who owns this movie, confirm, that the Derann copy of this feature contains the sequence when Jane Russell sings and dances "Diamonds Are The best Girl Friend" in the lawcourt (almost at the end of the third reel) ?
I've just got a second hand copy from Classic Home Cinema and this scene is missing (there is splice too!)... [Frown]

Thanks
Flavio

Hi
I have this copy but not sure if it was a Derann release- will I know from the leader? It certainly has the scene you refer to

hi Tony, I checked my tails (not spliced) and no indication is about this is a Derann print! However I was sold it like a Derann print so i assume it is...

Hi Joerg, i suspected the scene was cut away by the previous owner... I contacted CHC to know how their intentions, because this was not declared when I bought it!

Thanks

There are some collectors who take a delight in removing musical numbers from films.

That's OK until some poor unsuspecting new owner buys it.

Over a year or so I had to buy two copies of Arthur Askey's "Band Waggon" in order to make one complete print.

Well.. the same collector will be delighted to have the copy retuned back to him, because I'm going to return it back to CHC, and they to the seller who sold it to them... [Wink]
