Well Chip, what did you end up doing?
I used to use Neumade when I first started collecting and now am having to slowly replace all of it. The holes are not positioned at precisely the right place either in width or in the holes per foot (seems closer to 73 than 72), and jam the Elmo projector right away because the lower sprocket will not enagage the holes. I didn't have access to the Elmo when I first got that leader, so I can't say whether the film is shrunken or not; but Neumade leader is definitely not triacetate base and wierd stuff may go on with it. Just picked up some old library films and the 16mm white leader on all the heads of them is warped and incorrectly spaced as well. So boo for Neumade.
One option for blackout is to use unprocessed color negative film, which is extremely opaque. I wish labs would give up waste footage for free as slug. See the changeover thread for additional thoughts on this.

I got about 60m / 180ft of black film to give away. Perhaps "pieces of dark film" would be a better dicription. Some pieces have stripe, others don't. These are all scrap pieces of film.
