Hi all,

This topic is specially addressed to Osi who requested great screen shots of "Clash of Titans".

Doug has answered on the topic Osi has made that the original post of Osi's meant has been removed by the poster. I don't know what is the intention behind the poster to remove all his postings as I also noticed many of his valuable inputs/posts has been emptied deliberately last year.

I believe there was nothing wrong with us and in fact we are all here always talk a good thing about him. I have personally communicated with him 3-4 years ago and he was a nice and honest person. In fact, he worked together with John Clancy in writing a serial of 8mm articles in now-defunct magazine, Small Format.

But now back to your request Osi, lucky you that I have collected some great screen shots from the latest Ebay auction and saved some pictures. On the original Ebay link, the pictures have been removed, but (for future reference) it was sold for $66.

The print shows different color tone.

Nice blue and white colors are shown here, and also please notice the skin color is very natural.

 -

Green is very strong here.

 -

a bit warming here

 -

also here:

 -

Nice blue, but lack of skin color

 -

So from the above screen shots, I believe it is printed on Kodak SP. The risk here that this print might get brownish after 10 years.

I don't think any MGM series have been printed on AGFA.

Any comment?

Is the print that you got the screenshots from the official 3X400ft release, or the feature print?

Osi, I know a good Italian issue exists, but I don't have it.
I will try to look for someone who could supply some screen shots (I already have an idea about 'the man').
It's not a common print, anyway [Frown] .

I don't know if other editions (apart from the above mentioned 3*400ft) were released [Roll Eyes] .

About the Italian edition...
It was issued on 7*600ft reels.
Unauthorized movie (as usual, here) printed on Eastman ( [Frown] ), even if it seems the stock is Kodak SP (I'm simply reporting what I was told).

Some screen shots a friend of mine, also collector, have supplied for us.

Apart from the actual condition of this print the Italian issue, as stated in my previous post, is a very rare one.
Hope this helps.
Ciao.

ThanX Gian ... always the one pull out miracles!

It appears that the color has held up well with this print, bootleg or not. Not quite as sharp as the official release.

Mine has different condition throughout the copy, both in color and in definition. Anyway, I screened it during Christmas Holidays and it was a lovely screening.
