Yes Steve, but that film on Coconut gathering sounds like a blockbuster!

I agree it is most fascinating, (especially in that it works) but terribly priced. I'm sure that it will go down. The suprising thing is that occasional 28MM still show up on ebay. I almost won one, just for the heck of it!

It never ceases to amaze me what turns up here in my own backyard. This is in the same state as me (Victoria) but about 5 hours drive away. Some of the collections here are amazing as Australians were/are film mad and manufactured as well as imported equipment.
We also have a good climate for preservation of such items and of course no shortage of space!

Just in case anyone is still interested (I realise that this thread is 4 years old!) but my late Father's 1912 Pathe Kok projector is going into an auction at Halls in Shrewsbury on July 14th 2010 www.hallsgb.com. along with two 28mm films on spools, titled 'Part Trip on the Ganjies, Part French Magician on Stage' and a cased spare spool.

Just in case anybody is interested in a Premier Pathescope 28mm projector. The lister also says he has a collection of films he's going to add soon.
