not as familiar with Gaf but weak rewind is usually one of three things
1 - belt issue
2 - broken/defective gear
3 - loose tension spring.

You should open up the projector and figure out which one it is.

On some Gaf projectors, and also Chinon, Sankyo Sound 501, 700 etc, weak rewind can be a symptom of a weak reverse/rewind friction clutch. The clutch is a part of a swinging plastic gear assembly that drives the front spindle when you select rewind or reverse project.

Should read around 330 cm/gm torque at the spindle when rewinding at 24fps. [Razz]
