The Eumig Mark-S 710D has Eumig Vario Eupronet f: 1.3 \ F: 15-30 mm lens I assume. How do I know which lens would fit and give better results? Any recommendations?

Or is the lens good enough for a normal room? Upto 20m2

Vidar,
The lens quality is everything in film projection, particularly for super 8. The Eumig f1.3 is a middle of the road lens, giving acceptable results in most family rooms. But the difference between an f1.3 lens and an f1.1 or f1.0 lens is startling. As you progress from an f1.3 to an f1.0 lens, the quality of the lens optics increases dramatically. F1.3 lenses are usually plastic whereas f1.0 lenses are usually glass, with high degrees of color and aberration correction. Consequently you will see an amazing improvement in brightness, contrast, and sharpness as you progress towards an f1.0 lens.
When I changed the lens on my Eumig's and Elmo's from f1.3 to f1.0 lenses, the improvement in picture quality just blew me away.

Vidar,

You have a Eumig Mark-S 710 D, you will need a Mark-S 710 D LUX model to use either a Suprovar 1.0 or a Suprogon 1.1

The fastest lens available for your machine, staying with the Eumig brand, is the Suprogon zoom 1.2/12,5-25. A very nice lens I may add.

I hope this helps.

Jon

You might want to keep an eye out for a prime lens Vidar,Eumig
made them for their 8mm machines, I use one that's 20mm
and gives a bright picture (less lenses for light loss) and is a lot
sharper in giving overall focus of your frame, apart from being
so much cheaper than some of the zoom lenses on offer.

Hope the Suprogon 1.2 is okay, because that's what I will get soon :-)

I was told by many, no 1.0 or 1.1 lenses were not for this particular machine, only newer models.

Thanks for the replies, guys! You're a Super (8) gang

I have this 1.2 lens and I am extremely happy with it. Sharp focus and good light.
