In six short days projectors will be running nonstop...tabletops will be completely covered with 8mm, 16 and 35mm...films will be bought, sold and traded...and collectors will be having a great time.

I spoke with Steve Osborne yesterday and he said brand new releases just arrived that day from the lab and he's sending them out so we can screen them at CineSea. These include new product from both Classic Home Cinema and The Reel Image. I asked him not to tell me what's on those reels....I want to be surprised along with everyone else.

I'm looking forward to the setup on Friday night. I can't wait to finally meet Pat DAlessio, who's making the trip for the first time. It's such a treat to meet Forum members whose posts I've read for years. And what's better than the collectors and dealers who thankfully keep coming back to each of these shows? It is such a friendly atmosphere, watching films the entire time except when we all head out to dinner and then we're talking (passionately) about films, cameras and projectors....and occasionally other aspects of life. After that, we screen into the night.

The details:

Saturday, April 27th & Sunday, April 28th, 2013

The Ocean Holiday Resort
6501 Ocean Avenue
Wildwood Crest, NJ 08260
609-729-2900 (mention "Film Show" to receive special rate of $65.00 per room)
Love those Oceanfront rooms with private balconies!

Admission: $5.00, free to those who are staying at the Ocean Holiday.
Hours: Saturday 10 AM – 6 PM, dinner break, continuous screenings late into the night, Sunday 9 AM - 2 PM.

Dealers:
6 foot dealer tables are available for $20. The cost of a table is so low that if you've got any film or equipment you'd like to part with it makes sense to get a table and bring them to the show. To reserve a table you can email/PM me or Lou Franchetti.

Directions:
From North; Garden State Parkway to Exit 4, follow Rio Grande Ave to end. Right on Ocean Ave. Follow to Ocean Holiday on left 6501 Ocean Ave. From West and South;Rt 76 (east) or Rt 95 (north) to Walt Whitman Bridge. Follow Rt. 42 to Atlantic City Expressway. Take Exit 7 (Garden St Parkway South) Follow same as north.

Hope to see you there!

Doug
