My recent mention about my Fumeo 9119 reminded me to ask a question of members. It's clearly marked as a 9119, but as it has recording capabilities, shouldn't it be a 9120? Does anyone have any comment on this?

I also have a little-known Fumeo 9914, as you can see, it's actually a Bauer made in Italy by Silma.

They are almost identical machines Maurice so perhaps a previous owner had it upgraded at the fumeo factory to make it the same as 9120 without the expense or hassle of selling the 9119 to then buy a 9120. That's the only logical explanation I can think of.

An interesting thought, Andrew.
My projector (Italian eBay) came from a seller in Milan, the same city where the Fumeo factory was (is?) so it could have been upgraded quite locally.

Seems most likely then Maurice given the origin of source. Nice one to have though Maurice, not many high end recording Fumeo's about.

I know Ian used to have one in his shop for testing prints, he ran it for over twenty years he told me without ever needing to change the head or motor! Very durable professional workhorse of a machine I believe.
