Definitely not I'm afraid. I couldn't say with 100% certainty that no Super 8 prints of any episodes exist, though, as very occasionally a S8 print of a BBC series episode comes to light that isn't a commercial release and was probably a print ordered by the BBC. I have no idea why such prints exist, though.

Wasn't this show videotaped?

IMDB says studio shots were videotaped while location shots were taken on 16mm. Hence, the show was largely videotaped.

Let me say that the BBC, would definately take a dim view of any
of their product on the amateur gauges, so if you have any, keep
quet.

John Cleese had a video training company called "Video Arts". Through this, 2 episodes of Fawlty Towers were made available for hire on 16mm. They have never been available on super 8.
I once came across a super 8 print of Michael Palin's "Ripping Yarns" on a Derann list. I have no idea where that originated. Someone else beat me to it and bought it, unfortunately.

The Python episode was definitely sold on Super 8, despite clearly being rare. It was a US release, quite possibly from Canterbury Films. Amazing to learn of the Fawlty Towers episodes - what a collectors item for anyone that owns one!

A series originating on video is no guarantee that there won't be prints; e.g. there are plenty of episodes of 'The Muppet Show' in circulation on 16mm.

I bought a copy of Python from Regent Films 2x 400 b/w

I did think about spam writing this.

Think 'British Airways' in flight entertainment, I'm sure I once sw "Shoestring" listed, so Fawlty Towers could be on super 8 optical. I have seen some BBC stuff in-flight on BA in the early 80's.

The BBC "Civilisation" was released on super 8, but don't know if all the episodes were put out. One was on ebay recently.
