Hi could someone give me some info on this as charity shop next door to my shop has one for sale. They are asking £20 for it but and might make a nice display piece.Has an old plug on it 2 round pins looks like 1930's or 40's model.Any help appreciated thanks. I have just found this kodak rental service for the movies says 6mm and 8 mm http://archive.org/stream/completecatalogu00koda/completecatalogu00koda_djvu.txt maybe this something new for people not sure.

£20 is a lot of money if you just want to sit and look at it. As for using, even if it works, the 200 watt lamp severely limits its light output. If you want to buy a standard 8 silent projector to use look for a Eumig P8.

Was thinking more as a display piece not for use but was just interested to see the history of it and if people use them still today. Not concerned about the price as will go to charity dont really want to haggle with them

The Kodascope Eight-46 was made in Britain, and was available from December 1949 to January 1955, its price in 1955 was £33. A very sturdy projector, I once had its earlier brother, the Eight-45.

Thanks for that Maurice not as old as I thought but still old. Think I will pick it up to go on the shelf as a nice vintage piece.
