Cute B&W 200' silent Showtime release (ST421) Moon Mouse.
Mouse and friends rocket to the moon. Any idea what the real title is?

Thanks!

Graham,

That's it, thank you! I just watched it here, and it looks so good that now I wish I had a color/sound print.

Actually it's "Little Buck Cheeser" (1937). In this cartoon from MGM by Rudolf Ising, Little Cheeser and his friends, inspired by Buck Rogers (and visions of cheese) build a rocket ship and fly to the moon.

Thanks to both Graham and Maurice. I see that this film (with the same artwork) is listed in the Mountain catalog as being available in color and sound. If anyone has a copy please let me know how the quality is. Thanks.

Pictoreels issued a number of mid-thirties MGM cartoons on 8 and 16, and in both black & white and colour. Before the middle of 1935 MGM only had access to 2-strip Technicolor, therefore films such as "The Chinese Nightingale" don't look too good.

The first release using 3-strip was on the 21 September 1935 with "The Old Plantation."

Mind you that b&w sound versions are complete while color versions are edited down to five minutes.
