Just read the sad news that he has passed away at the age of 86.
Played a great part in the great escape, as "the man who could get things", and many film roles, and Jim Rockford in the Rockford Files a great tv series from the seventies. R.I.P James
Garner.

James Garner was my first teenage crush. My parents took me to the Scout-o-rama at the Cow Palace in San Francisco where he was a guest personality. He passed right by me riding on a stage couch waving his cowboy hat. At that time I thought he was waving it just at me [Smile] R.I.P Maverick [Frown]
